10-25     Read the Intro to Homer on pp. 76-77 of our Houghton Mifflin textbook (use the online version please).  HW: Create a character classification chart in your journals.  Categories should be Character, Greek Trojan or God, and Actions/Characteristics.  Begin adding characters to the chart as you read Book 18, pp. 78-81 for discussion on Monday.  Due 10-30-17.

Week 2, Quarter 2

11-6      Finish reading and annotating Oedipus the King together in class.  Essay Conferences.

Annotate as we read for:  new vocab, metaphors, and symbolism.

11-9     Myths - Systems of Symbolic Allusion in Poetry - Chapter 22 for our AP text.  Read pages 1007-1011 in class.  Not new vocabulary and definitions in your journals.
